Spanish Chamber of Commerce in China
Shanghai, October 2026 — The Spanish Chamber of Commerce in China is honoured to announce its participation as a guest of honour at the inauguration ceremony of the 26th Robotex Asia Finals and the 2nd Tech & Entertainment Festival, to be held on 4–5 October 2026 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). This invitation underscores the Chamber’s growing role as a bridge between Spain and China in the fields of advanced technology, robotics, and industrial innovation.
Founded in Estonia in 2001 by Tallinn University of Technology and the University of Tartu, Robotex has grown into one of the world’s largest and most prestigious youth robotics competitions, with a presence in more than 60 countries. Its mission is to foster robotics education, promote international technological exchange, and accelerate innovation in core components, automation, and artificial intelligence.
The 26th Asia Finals will bring together competitors from over 20 countries across 29 competition categories, spanning the full spectrum of robotics — from structural assembly and programming to AI-driven algorithms. Participants of all ages will demonstrate their technical mastery and creative problem-solving abilities over the course of the two-day event.
Running in parallel, the Tech & Entertainment Festival will open its doors to the public with four immersive themed zones:
In addition, an international forum will convene leading experts to discuss frontier developments in artificial intelligence, industrial applications, and the evolving role of technology in education. A dedicated Startup Challenge will provide young innovators with a platform to pitch solutions in smart manufacturing, emergency response, low-altitude economy, and smart living to a panel of industry investors.
Since its establishment in 2000, the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in China has been dedicated to strengthening economic, trade, and technological ties between Spain and China. China’s mature and stable business environment, combined with strong governmental support, offers highly favourable conditions for foreign enterprises. The Chamber’s strategic focus on expanding cooperation in high-end equipment and smart manufacturing aligns closely with the robotics and AI disciplines at the heart of this season’s Robotex Asia Finals.
The Chamber’s participation as a guest of honour at the inauguration reflects its ongoing commitment to connecting Spanish and Chinese industrial ecosystems. The Chamber will continue to act as a catalyst for bilateral cooperation, facilitating deeper engagement between Spanish enterprises and the Chinese market in advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence, and related sectors.
Since 2000, a benchmark in supporting companies and individuals from both countries.
