Founder and CEO of ES Grupo
25 years ago Javier Tora started out in the fashion industry working in the family business in
Petrer, Alicante.
After working on several ventures, he decided to move to China, where he founded ES Grupo. Today ES Grupo has grown into a conglomerate employing more than 1,300 people, with factories in Spain, China, Myanmar and Albania, providing OEM services to leading international fashion brands.
Recently, the group has expanded into other sectors, such as the manufacture of personal protective equipment, investments, business centres and the distribution of Spanish products in China.
Javier is currently President of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in South China, founder and coordinator of CEEC (Club of Spanish Entrepreneurs in Canton), a member of the Life Changing Club and founder of Juntos Business Incubator.
Graduate of Harvard Business School.
Awarded the Officer's Cross of the Order of Isabella the Catholic for his work supporting and promoting Spain and its interests abroad and his contribution to the Spanish community in China.
After graduating in Industrial Engineering from the Technical University of Madrid, Elías Botet went on to study various international business programmes and holds a research proficiency diploma (doctorate) from the School of Industrial Engineering (UNED) and in Economics (Deusto). Elías Botet has worked for industrial (manufacturing) companies in China for almost 20 years. He was involved in the automotive manufacturing industry from the start of his career and arrived in Changchun (Jilin, China) to lead the opening of a first factory in 2006. Later, in 2013, he managed the opening of a second automotive components factory in Yantai (Shandong). He has worked as GM at Kaiping SEDAL TAP COMPONENTS Ltd. (Guangzhou) for the past 8 years.
With more than 35 years' experience in international manufacturing companies, Elías Botet is an expert in operations management, strategic planning, project management and new product development, quality system management and customer satisfaction, and optimised growth of sales and profits.
Born in Úbeda (Jaén) in 1989 and based in China since 2013, Fausto Aguilera holds a double degree in Journalism and Audiovisual Communication from Carlos III University of Madrid (2008–2013). During his studies he took part in exchanges at the University of Zagreb (2011) and the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (2012).
After his studies in Journalism and Audiovisual Communication, Fausto specialised in teaching Spanish to Chinese speakers, completing the University Expert course in Teaching Spanish to Chinese Speakers at the University of Jaén in 2016. He is also a DELE examiner at all levels.
In 2014, Fausto co-founded in Guangzhou LOLA – Spanish Centre, a Spanish academy teaching Spanish at all levels to children, teenagers and adults, both individually and for companies and educational institutions. LOLA also offers interpreting and translation services, consultancy for students wishing to study in Spain and other education-related services.
Iris is a professional with a diverse background in international relations and business management. Originally from Valencia, Spain, she holds a Master's in International Relations specialising in EU-China relations. She also holds an MBA, which further strengthens her business vision.
With around 10 years of experience in trade with China, Iris began her career in the Asian giant, working for manufacturing companies specialising in trade with Europe and Latin America.
Iris is currently General Manager for Mainland China and Hong Kong at TIBA, a leading Spanish logistics company. Her leadership and strategic vision have contributed to the company's significant growth and success in the competitive Chinese market.
Driven, innovative and culturally adaptable, Iris continues to make her mark in international business, where her expertise in Chinese affairs and logistics plays a vital role in building strong global connections.
From Barcelona, Spain, Juan J. Gibert Busquets began doing business in China in the late 1980s, in chemicals, international logistics, food and beverages, consultancy and other industries. Since settling in Hong Kong more than 15 years ago and moving to Shenzhen in 2019, he has founded or invested in more than 5 companies in China, on whose boards he sits.
He is currently CEO and founder of Obiti International Limited (HKG) and director of several other companies.
Working in China for many years with clients and suppliers from Southeast Asia, Europe and South America gave him a broad business perspective; he has helped his clients achieve their goals and successfully opened more than 17 new companies.
He was Director of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong for 4 years
Since 2000, a benchmark in supporting companies and individuals from both countries.
